Melissa Harris-Perry to Appear on "Press Pause" on WAEC in Atlanta
Melissa Harris-Perry, author, MSNBC Contributor and Professor of Political Science is scheduled to appear on the radio talk show "Press Pause" on WAEC Love 860 AM, on Saturday September 24th, 2011.

"Sister Citizen" is an examination of how the perceptions of the black woman in America are intertwined with their struggle for political relevance. The subtitle of the book, "For Colored Girls Who've Considered Politics When Being Strong Isn't Enough" is a play on the title of the 1975 Broadway stage play written by Ntozake Shange, "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf". Harris-Perry is also the author of "Barbershops, Bibles, and BET: Everyday Talk and Black Political Thought".
