Talking to your Children about Sex
Parenting experts discuss controversial topic on upcoming radio show!
/Georgia News Articles/ - July 22, 2008 - The birds and the bees. That's how parents used to describe conversations about sex with their children. But today, with young people being exposed to vivid and graphic sexual images on television, in magazines and on the internet, some experts say it's time to talk tough.
Youth Life Coach Christie Crowder will join parenting expert and radio talk show host, Pat Montgomery for a controversial discussion on children and sex on Thursday, July 24 on the show, Parents Rule!, on Sandy Springs Radio.
Montgomery says she believes teens are over-sexualized and in need of guidance by parents. "We have kids learning every thing about sex from peers and poor role models on the screen. Parents need to step up." Montgomery, who is the author of "Now You Know What I Know: Parenting Wisdom of a Grandmother" adds parents should not leave it up to the teachers to teach everything because it's not their responsibility.
Parents Rule airs each Thursday from 2:00pm-3:00pm EST on Radio Sandy Springs 1620 am and streams live on http://www.radiosandysprings.com.
